Tony was our tech and seemed very proficient in diagnosing and fixing our issue. He was friendly, seemed knowledgeable about the issue, and explained what he was doing. We felt he was honest is his appraisal of the issue. We would be pleased to have him to have work on a or air conditioning system again. As to pricing, we wouldn’t know if it was reasonable or not, or what to expect. We have no way to compare. It wasn’t what we would call at all low, but it didn’t break the bank, don’t think it was excessive, and he fixed the issue and we were pleased about that. After all, that’s what we needed. We are happy with Total Air, their responsiveness and willingness to work around your schedule, be on time and communicate with you on their techs arrival time and who the tech is so you know who is coming so you know who to expect. Very easy company to work with. Nice people.

Upon arrival to system no cool, I was shown to a thermostat on the wall that wasn’t operating at all. Immediately pulled thermostat off the wall and tried to bypass to get the system started and everything would run except the outdoor C/U in the cooling mode. Upon further inspection I found loss of power between the low voltage wiring in the system for the outdoor C/U. I was losing power once it left the A/H to the C/U. Checked all wiring and when I went to unwrap the condenser wiring I pulled a wire straight off that was barely attached. Respliced and repaired wiring then put power back to the system. I now had correct power and the system would start if the thermostat was bypassed. This thermostat has failed due to a low voltage short that was happening intermittently due to the loose wiring connections. Replaced and wired thermostat and started the system in the cooling mode. System is now operating normally in the cooling mode. I did notice the systems drain line was clogge

Called out because customer is selling home. She has pre-paid for two cleanings for the year. Customer wanted us to address the notations made by the inspector. After completely testing all of the equipment and cleaning the system. It is my professional opinion that this one year old system is an excellent condition. The indoor air quality air purifier/ionizer is in good working condition and has kept the supply duct clean. There is no evidence of any type of growth. There was a small bit of dust that made it to the evaporator coil which was easily cleaned off with maintenance. Tested pressures, amp draw, capacitance and temperature differential. System is cooling and heating properly at this time. Filter return door on front of air handler unit is also adequate to be able to allow filtering before the evaporator coil.

Upon arrival to system no cool, I was shown to an A/H unit located in a closet that couldn’t go below 83 due to system freezing. Pulled the systems filter and checked the coil for cleanliness. The evaporator coil is extremely impacted which is going to cause the system to freeze at lower temperatures. This evaporator would need to be pulled out of the system and cleaned at minimum to restore normal cooling to the living space. I added a quote to pull and clean the evap coil to the invoice to view pricing. Along with the evaporator coil being extremely impacted there is a refrigerant leak on the liquid line side of the A/H that needs to be repaired. I added a quote to repair this line to the invoice. I did also take amperage readings of the indoor blower motor which is amping above its specifications. This motor is going to fail. Added quote for motor replacement to the invoice. I was not able to fully inspect the outdoor C/U due to weather conditions. We will return on Friday

Upon arrival customer said AC was not working. Went to the air handler and the float switch was tripped. I pulled the float switch out and unit came on. Took a temp at the register and it was only 71.8 degrees. So I went to the roof and put my gauges on and the unit is freezing and low on R22 comfort adviser coming out.

Upon arrival customer told me AC was kicking on and off. The condensate pump was working good no water and flood switch. Went outside and checked Freon levels and it was low on Freon. Also the compressor is pulling a lot of amps and making a lot of noise. Comforter advisor is coming out to give quote

Maintenance Completed maintenance of n a through the wall furnace and case coil. Checked all electrical components for proper volts and amp draw. Both fan motors and compressor tested good. System pressures are correct. System temperatures are correct. Cycled furnace successfully with no faults. Allowed flame to run for a few minutes without issue. Cannot vacuum communal drain line. Added solvent to drain to break up debris. Replaced uvc bulb. New bulb is rated for 3 year compared to 2 year older bulb. System operating normally at this time.

Upon arrival to scheduled system maintenance I was shown to an A/H unit located in a closet. Immediately pulled off panel doors to inspect all electrical components connections, collect amp draw/voltage readings off all electrical equipment, wipe down A/H cabinet and check the evaporator coil for cleanliness. Evaporator coil is clean, and pictures are upload to ST. All electrical components connections are secure and all reading me are running within range of factory specifications. This is a newly installed system that is clean and free of any biological/microbial growth build up.. I do highly recommend installing a UV light system to negate all biological growth to protect all electrical components and equipment from bio growth build up preventing premature breakdown of the equipment, as well as ensuring better indoor air quality throughout the living space. Went outside to the C/U to verify system refrigerant charge, inspect all electrical components connections, collect electri

Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival nothing would run. Secondary side of the transformer would not produce 24 volts. Replaced transformer and when condenser kicked on it popped the transformer. The low voltage wiring is brittle and exposed on the roof. The contactor coil has visible arc marks. The compressor wire was melted from the capacitor. Capacitor was out of manufacture tolerance. Client is aware that the machine was on its last leg. Gave options for repairs. A comfort advisor will be out within the hour to give options on machine replacement. Left disconnect out of air handler. Client enrolled in annual maintenance agreement. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Removed old grille and installed new 20x20x1 filter back grille with new filter. Unit in closet is cooling properly and running well.

Called out today to perform a precision tune up. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating within manufacture specifications. Replaced client provided filter. Cleared drain line and cleaned out condensate pump. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Equipment is still having trouble cooling since the last visit. Client has a quote from our comfort advisor and will pull the trigger when she’s ready. Her brother passed recently and she is taking care of his condo. She lives out of state. Equipment is operating at this time. Renewed maintenance agreement. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Arrived at home for no cool call. Unarrival customer showed me to air handler unit. Air handler was not putting out any cool. Next went out to condenser and hooked up gauge's. Condenser had almost no free on it. Pointed this out to customer and due to age of unit suggested she get consultation tomorrow. Customer agreed. Customer with prefer consultation to come after 4 o'clock PM.. Sign a customer up for tap's plan and collected service fee and left. Customer happy.

Arrived at customers house for system Check. On arrival customer showed me to air handler in laundry room. Filter was a bit dirty. Checked out the delta t and Delta he was just outside of satisfactory range. Evaporator coil was relatively clean. Blower motor and electric cabinet has some dirt on it. Talked to customer about how often he kept his doors open. Customer keeps the door open quite frequently. Informed customer we have electronic filter that can help with the dirt build up due to house condition. Customer just moved to house full-time from Connecticut. All electric wires were secured. Next went outside to condenser. Hooked up gauges and all pressures and readings were of acceptable range. Check contactor and proper voltage was going through. Check capicatir and capacitor was of acceptable range. Started unit manually outside and unit was over amping on Startup. Brought this to customers attention and suggested a hard start kit. Customer agreed. Installed hard start kit. Unit

Performed maintenance 2. Checked all electrical components in system. All components within factory spec for volts and amp draw. Drain clear. Home owner stated that in middle of the day the system struggles to maintain 72 degrees. Pressures are normal. After completing check up, compressor failed to start on first attempt. After reset delay, the compressor began to run normally. Start up amps within acceptable range. Compressor may have built up heat from testing. Condenser unit has a good t200 cap and a headstart installed. Home owner will monitor and notify us if the unit has any further issues. Left system cooling properly at this time.

Found not cooling due to failed blower motor. Need to send customer pricing on blower motor replacement. Also I advised office will call to scheduled Corey to come and quote new system replacement.

System not cooling due to a burnt wire going to the capacitor. Fixed wire and unit was working. I noticed that the capacitor was getting low so I recommend a new capacitor while we were here and he agreed. Unit working properly at this time.
