Arrived at customers house for system not cooling. On arrival customer showed me to a Bosch communicating system. Customer informed me unit has been having cooling problems since day of installation. And on arrival air handler was running but condenser was not. Open condenser electric cabinet. No error codes were seen. After about five minutes unit attempted to start up. Fan was cycling for a while then unit was showing an E5 error code. The condenser bored then went blank. Waited about 15 minutes and power did not return. Cycled disconnect and breakers but the board still did not turn on. Confirmed 120 V from each leg it to ground. Across L1 and L2 was not even showing a volte though. A customer would like to again get a hold of company that installed unit. Feels that this is their issue. Suggested customer sign off on our maintenance plan. Customer agreed. Collected payment and signature and left. Thank you for choosing Total air! Customer would like receipt and write up sent via

Called out today to perform a precision tune up on two units. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating properly within manufacture specifications. Checked filter and cleared drain lines. Cleaned evaporator coil on mini split head. Measured the temperature drop across the coils. Vacuumed drain line clear from outside port. Cleaned condenser coils. Checked refrigerant pressures. Spoke with client about drain solve treatments. Installed a customer supplied thermostat. Programmed thermostat and showed client the operation. Equipment is operating properly at this time. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Came out to do maintenance. Checked pressures and found system to not be cooling properly. Checked amp draw on compressor and outdoor fan and nothing stood out as an issue. Upon inspection of the air handler cabinet. Found cooler air hitting me in the face due to an open duct. Walked around to see if there were any other openings. It looks like only one duct needs to be replaced. Quoted for two just in case. Also sent quote for electronic leak search. Customer has 10 years parts and labor Per conversation. The immediate need for the system is to add a little refrigerant. We need to do a leak search and find out where the refrigerant has leaked out. There is also one to two duct runs that have holes in them. The quote below is to add refrigerant and to repair the holes in the duct. I also quoted for the leak search. I explain to the homeowner everything that was going on. And sent over estimate. Owner gave me permission to add the refrigerant. He also asked for the office to give him a

Upon arrival customer told me AC lights were flickering. I put my gauges on a system in the house I was pretty high. I found a bad restriction in the piston that needs replaced. The filter dryer is old and he’s replaced well. And also a bad compressor and that’s why the lights are dimming in the house but the amps high.

Below is the estimate for the Immediate need -replace a bad contactor that is burnt and pitted. It also includes a maintenance plan for both systems in this home. Customer is 55 years old and qualifies for the senior discount. Below is an estimate to cover today’s repair and the start of the two maintenance plan membership. Heater strip was being engaged due to exposed wiring on outside unit. Melted contactor was continuing signal even though there was not a signal for cooling. Replaced contactor and fixed wiring on outside unit outside of condenser were thermostat wire connects to system wiring. System is on and cooling at this time. Flushed water through drain. Customer is on schedule to be contacted to do first of two maintenance for each system. Two system home. Both vertical walk up air handler‘s. I also included an estimate for surge protection. And a separate estimate for indoor air quality options.

This estimate is to replace and out of warranty evaporator coil. This includes pumping down refrigerant, removing the faulty coil and installing a new OEM coil, pressure testing with nitrogen and then placing system on vacuum. Releasing refrigerant. Any additional refrigerant is needed it will be charged separately. Thurs Aug 31st- Jess- Returned today and pumped refrigerant down. Locked refrigerant off in condensing unit. Removed faulty evaporator coil and installed new OEM evaporator coil. Pressure tested with nitrogen and then placed system on vacuum to 497 µm. Released refrigerant and then added 4 pounds based on superheat and sub cooling values. System is on and cooling with a 21° temperature differential. It is 80° inside the apartment and I have the thermostat set to 76.

Both indoor and outdoor unit was running but house was not running. Found the indoor coil leaking. Coil and Txv and filter dryer needs replacing. Customer is not to be charged for refrigerant due to the previous tech recharging the system two weeks ago without offering a leak search.

Water was in the water overflow reservoir, which was shutting off the condenser intermittently due to the drain line being plugged with growth. I flushed out the drain line, and then I had a dream song to clearly free it out.

System is not cooling due to clogged drain line. Customer is first floor of three floor building and is the bottom of the community drain on that level. My suggestion is to allow us to do a maintenance plan so we can come clean and flush the coil and drain line twice a year and ensure that you don’t have any back ups or loss of cooling. Below is an estimate for today’s discounted service call, the drain cleaning service at a discount, and the start of your monthly maintenance membership. The $12.50 monthly will come off of the same card each month and can be canceled at any time. If there are any discounts that you received while on the membership, and you cancel the membership, you will be billed for the remaining portion of what you saved while on the membership within that year. Completed maintenance and was able to get drain cleared of all slimy debris. Upon checking pressure found system to be low. Upon arrival to the scheduled system maintenance, I was shown to the a/h in the garage and c/u in the back of the home. I pulled off the panel door to inspect all electrical components connections, collect amp draw/voltage readings off electrical equipment, and check the unit for cleanliness. The a/h unit has a UV light system to keep the unit clean and produce better indoor air quality. The bulb is due for replacement. The customer will hold off at this time. The evaporator coil has some debris underneath due to remolding in the home, overall still clean along with the blower fan. The d/t temperature was 15-16° and within normal range. Photos uploaded to ST. All electrical components were secure and within factory range. I then cleaned out the condensate pump to remove and blockage or debris. I ensured this was draining properly. Upon arrival to quoted system repair I was shown to a mini split system that had a failed main control board at the C/U. Uninstalled old failed control board and replaced with new OEM control board in its place, and installed to factory specifications. Put power back to the system and cycled the equipment in the cooling mode. All heads are cooling with a temperature split differential of around 21-23°. Systems high side pressure is running a little high, so I sprayed out the C/U to help lower pressures. I do highly recommend a condenser chemical clean to properly clean the coil and bring down the high side pressures. This will help avoid premature breakdown of the equipment. Left system operating in the cooling mode, spoke to the homeowner about work completed, collected payment/signatures and left. Job complete. Thank you for choosing Total Air!

Arrived at customers house for unit not cooling. On arrival turned air conditioning to cool mode. Air handler blower turned on, but condenser did not. Open electric cabinet and confirmed voltage going to condenser. Voltage confirmed. Checked electric components and found a bad capacitor. Changed out. Capacitor and fan started right up. Compressor was attempting. Is not getting good. Amperage through the system. Tested leads and found no open windings. Units discharge side is over 500. Suction side is over 175. Customer has had work done in past. Unit is from 2017. Does not currently have a warranty. Suggested customers get consultation due to age and prior work done to this unit. Customers agreed. Comfort adviser coming out today between 4 and 6 PM. Talked to customer about maintenance plan and customer decided to sign up. Collected payment and signature from home owner and left. No cool systems are not cooling correctly would like to have both units looked over. Checked blower motor operation and inspected evaporator coil condition. Checked safety float switch and inspected drain line. Customer has replaced filter and clean drain pan. Checked thermostat calibration and filter location. Customer has replaced filter. The mini split in living room is clean and the evaporator coil is free of debris. The filters are good and clean. The drain is working properly. Checked refrigerant levels and check test start ups. Refrigerant levels are good and unit is working properly. Recommend new taps Membership to have preventative maintenance inspections on equipment every 6 months.

Upon arrival to system no cool, I was shown to multiple indoor mini split heads that were not cooling. Indoor fan would come on until they tried to communicate with the outdoor system, and would shut off when the outdoor tried to power on. Went outside to the C/U to find I had the correct voltage coming into the unit and on the board, but the board wouldn’t transmit the proper DC voltage to start the C/U. This control board has failed and needs to be replaced. The office should reach out tomorrow morning to verify the warranty of the system and schedule an appointment to replace the outdoor control board. The system is currently not cooling. Spoke to the homeowner about work completed, collected payment for todays visit, and left. Job complete. Thank you for choosing Total Air! Upon arriving, I observed the condensing unit was not running, but the indoor unit was running. Outdoor unit was giving a code of 06 which is a start circuit lost. I measured out the capacitor and the fan was measuring at 4.6 and her was measuring at 11.4. I replace capacitor with a turbo capacitor, and now the system is up and running. There was no need to change the contactor as it has a built-in contactor on the defrost board.
