What makes Total Air standout from others? The technical skills of their technicians are outstanding. Other companies might say their trained and skilled, but they are not. I was very upset with the last company who serviced my AC. Total air is a one company I will recommend to anyone looking for service or a new AC unit..
Wish I found this company 6 years ago

My AC failed this morning. I called Total Air for service and Wade Hepp arrived around 3:30 this afternoon and quickly traced down some complicated electrical problems both in the Air Handler and on the compressor. Wade had the parts needed on his truck and got everything back running. Wade was extremely courteous and considerate. He even put covers over his shoes when he entered my home. Thank you Wade for the fast and courteous service!

As usual Jason displayed great customer service! Arrived on time and had a mask. No complaints here. I don't want to say too much as I know it will go to his head. Also, I didn't get his name but his assistant was exceptional as well.

Arrived at customers, house for system, blowing warm air in air conditioning mode. On arrival had customer explain to me what was going on. Complete member tune up. Inspect filter location. Clear drain line out with vacuum. At air handler, inspect electrical components. Test amps and volts. Delta t measures at 20 degrees. Ensure system works properly in all modes. The air handler cabinet is clean. I replaced the Elite Uv bulb and the next replacement date is 3/17/2023. This light ensures bacterial growth does not effect your system. The overflow safety switch is working properly. At condenser checked pressures, temps, amps and volts. The electrical components inside the cabinet are working properly. The compressor and fan motor are running to manufactures specification. The surge protection device is enabled. Left system in good working order. Thank you for choosing Total air!

Water leak Drain line clogged causing water to over flow. Cleared drain line and drain pan. Foun 1 inch common drain line attached to 3/4 in drain with a float switch Reservoir used as a coupling. I do not have 1 in fittings on the truck so I glued the joint to prevent dripping. Home owner aware that this glue may not hold and drain line may need to be rebuilt. Drain line draining normally at this time. Home owner signed up for maintenance program today. Office to schedule first maintenance visit. System cooling and draining normally at this time.

Called out today to perform a precision tune up. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating within manufacture specifications. Replaced client provided EAC filter. Cleared drain pan, line and vacuumed condensate pump. Pump was covered in algae. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Outside I removed the fan from the condenser and cleaned the coil from the inside out. Equipment is operating properly at this time. Next visit the supply UV pure air should be replaced. Took 50$ off renewal due to client being unsatisfied of the thoroughness of past maintenance visits. Reminded her of member savings for indoor air quality equipment as well. Client renewed and we will order EAC filters through the manufacture. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival nothing was running. Found a 5 amp blown. There was exposed wires inside the air handler and the condenser cabinet. The blower wheel rattles upon start up. Drain line is clogged. Taped wires and replaced fuse. Compressor was extremely loud and pulling the maximum 15.6 amps. Gave options for repeaters and educated clients on the importance of preventative maintenance. Client declined maintenance agreement. Replaced fuse and capacitor. Clients are fully aware that after the repairs are made the compressor is still failing. Equipment is cooling at this time but due to the age and condition of the equipment the machine can and will fail at any given time. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Smell in ductwork. Found strong smell of decomposition in the duct work going to one of the bedrooms. Homeowner will need to have an exterminator come out to remove the animal and clear the home of any other rodents. After the exterminator has cleared the home, we will need to follow up to assess the damage and quote a repair. If one is not already present, I would highly recommend installing a medical grade uvc system in the central ac system after repairs are done to kill off any left over bacteria in the home. No repairs made at this time.

Mini split no cool.

Homeowner had off brand mini split recently installed into garage by a family member. While testing, I found system pumping down to 0 psi on the vapor side. Located closed king valve causing pump down. I opened the valve and adjusted pressure with 1 lb 410 a. System is now cooling.

I spoke with home owner about the off brand system. He understands that with todays repair we do not assume any responsibility if the system leaks or has any other issues. Zinsco 40 amp thin breaker

Changed breaker for air handler to 40 amp. Ran unit in heat mode and got proper amp draw. Showed work to customer and customer is happy. Collected payment and signature and left.

Customer concerned about unit not heating properly. The main breaker keeps shutting down and tripping the breaker. Checked blower motor operation and inspected heater heat strip. The heat strip is 8 kw @ 36 amps. The breaker is undersized 30 amp and needs to be larger to 40 amp breaker. Needs a 40 amp Zinsco breaker in air handler sub panel. I have removed the heat low voltage wire to keep unit heating and running. Needs 40 amp slim Zinsco breaker replacement in sub panel near air handler unit.

Upon arrival customer told me the heat keeps tripping the breaker. I turned the heat on and the fan would come on. Then once the heat contactor pulled in it would trip the breaker. I found a bad 8KW heat strip. Please call with availability and if under warranty.

Upon arrival customer told me he turned the ac on Monday or Tuesday and tried to turn on the heat Yesterday and nothing came on. I went to the condenser and had 24 volts threw R and C Calling for cooling I had 24v threw Y and C but nothing pulling in the contactor. Calling for heating I 24 Volts threw O and C but nothing pulling in the contactor. I checked the 2 wires coming from the board to each side going to the contactor and I don’t have 24 volts. I pushed the pins on the board and no change I found a bad defrost board. Please look up to see if it is under warranty and price and Availability.
