Upon arrival, I talked to the homeowner and she showed me where her air handler was located in the garage horizontal. The condenser is located outback ground level on concrete blocks lifted after going over the complete system. I found the primary safety switch is not working. I have also found that there is slight biological growth going inside the air handler. I advise a blower wheel cleaning and a UV light installed. Also outside at the condenser everything is normal refrigerant wires connections, but the capacitor is way under spec possibly will not turn on during the peak of the summer reading 25 out of 45. i’ve explained all my findings to the homeowner. I even added the membership to give her the most discounts that we can while keeping the best service to visits a year and keeping up-to-date on cleanings and documentation of the unit homeowner center. Upon arrival found unit off and t stat reading an error upon further inspection found float switch full of water shop vac the drain line and rebooted the system unit is operating correctly at this time

Upon arrival found unit operating checked all major components to specifications checked all wiring for breakage and corrosion also changed out the filter with a new one customer is satisfied with the work performed customer declined all other upgrades to the system unit is operating at this time

System is not working properly. This is a separate issue then why I was here the other day. The compressor is now locked up most likely due to damage from being miswired to capacitor. Wouldn’t have known this the other day because it was working properly after cycling a handful of times. Now the compressor is locked up. Arrived at the home and the homeowner indicated where the units are located. Proceeded to do maintenance. Checked voltages and amps. Cleaned/flushed drain line. Checked refrigerant charge, sight glass was flashing, found it low 1 lb of R410a. Added: jug 320. Additionally, mentioned to the homeowner that there is growth in the air handler cabinet, installed UV light is no longer operational, an Evaporator clean in place, and that the equipment is 8 years old. They are going to remodel home, so will wait on further estimates.

Customer said the last few days the AC climbs to 87°. Performed full system evaluation and unit is running well at this time. 22° delta temp, refrigerant levels are within range, checked all electrical components. There was a tiny amount of water in the primary float switch. The water may have been backing up later in the day causing the unit to not cool. I removed the batteries from the thermostat and explained to the customer that if this goes blank to check the float. I cleared and flushed the line and pump. There may be an intermittent issue that is happening. Possible further diagnosis needed if customer notices any changes. Left system working and in cooling mode. Customer will hold off on membership renewal.
