Arrived in the homeowner greeted me at the door
Asked her how things been and she told me that just of what was going on
Went out to the condenser after confirming that the thermostat is working in the air handler turns on
No water in the safety switch
I found on the outside condenser that the condenser fan motor is overheating pretty close to its full load of amps and this condenser randomly shuts off I believe due to a sensor or the condenser fan motor overheating on thermal protection
It is not shutting off anymore.
I took out the hard star kit that was arching touching the internal casing, and the relay box is now destroyed
The house is cooling down properly at this time
I need the office to check warranty on this unit to see if we need to charge the warranty condenser fan motor pricing or the OEM non-warranty
Office, please call the homeowner tomorrow to confirm warranty or non-warranty. Also, if we are going to warranty out the hard start kit if it was a recent enough.
Completed for maintenance on a split system and a mini split
Checked all wiring and components
Tested refrigerant levels, and temperature
Test capacitor
Tested fan and compressor amps
Hose off condenser coils
Took temperature splits from supply and return
Tested blower wheel amps
Flushed out condensate line
Changed filter
Installed customer supplied thermostat
Units are up and operating at this time
When I went to remove the service cap on the suction line, the unit started spraying refrigerant. I was able to put the cat back on to prevent complete refrigerant loss, but there was a lot lost. It looked like there was no Schrader core in the valve. We were able to put a new one in and charge the unit back up to proper charge.
Both units aren’t pretty good condition. To split system unit is very clean inside just really try to stay up on top of those filter changes so it stays clean. Its cooling efficiency is great with great temperature splits and refrigerant levels are now perfect.
Aftermarket Blower Motor
Blower motor was installed

Arrived in homeowner greeting me at the door
I asked him how things have been and he told me that his area is working blowing warm air
After looking at the thermostat, confirming that the thermostat was not the issue
I went outside to the condenser, and I found a blown capacitor
After showing this to the homeowner and I got approval to install our capacitor and the system turned right back on
The refrigerant levels are normal per the heat load inside the home at the present time
I highly recommend replacing the system. It is a 2006 carrier in the board has already been bypassed.
Homeowner has agreed to have a Comfort Advisor come out to his house and give him an estimate
System back up and running at this time

Found unit with backed up drain line. Will need to return later to install flow after realtor can get a hold of owner.
I have to find unit off. Turned on unit and found that blower motor would not run although it had power. System is from 2019 and is not under warranty. Blower motor needs to be replaced.
Customer said since yesterday unit won’t go below 76 degrees. After finishing diagnosing found out that drain line was clogged and float switch was activating and unit was working on short cycles. Also noticed that unit was a little undercharged DT was 16 and subcooling was 5 . Customer agreed to continue only with drain line cleaning and adding Freon for today. He refused the drain line cleaning device . Cleaned drain line and added 1 lb of Freon. Unit is operating as designed now. Customer is aware of membership and he will think about it and will call office when he decides.
Replace contactor
Completed full maintenance on a split system unit
Checked all wiring and components
Tested refrigerant levels, and temperature
Tested capacitor
Tested fan and compressor amps
Took temperature splits from supply in return
Flushed out condensate line
Tested blower wheel amps
Checked filter
Tested float switch
Unit is up and operating at this time
The contactor on this unit was very beat up. It had burn marks and some corrosion occurring. We went ahead and replaced the contactor. The compressor also had a higher than normal amp draw. We mega ohmed the compressor and it was in the caution area. This kind of means the electrical windings of the compressor are starting to fail. It is still working right now. There’s no really way to know how long it will work, but it is starting to fail. Refrigerant levels and temperature splits look normal on this unit. The indoor air handler is super clean inside. Everything else looks great. We just will have to keep an eye on that com
Customer complaining loud noise coming from vents and air handler. Found that the blower motor is starting to fail likely due to an extremely dirty coil. System is 15 years old and has no warranty. Compressor is pulling over 80% of its full load amps and appears to be failing as well and has a very high head pressure. It is very advisable to replace the system before spending any more money on costly repairs for this current system. Comfort Advisor is scheduled to come out tomorrow, July 18.
Arrived in the homeowner agreed to meet at the door
This is a Coast Guard veteran
I asked him about hvac system and he told me things have been good
This is a 10-year-old train
Air handler, vertical inside ground level condenser on the left of the house
I have to go through the system. I highly recommend replacement at this time due to age and biological growth filled up.
I have given the homeowner an estimate for a in place cleaning on the EVAP coil
I have asked the homeowner to do a pull and clean on the blower wheel and housing
And to install UV light to ensure this doesn’t come back
Homeowner declined everything but in place cleaning
I do recommend replacing the system due to the age as of today the evaporator coil looks amazing after my cleaning the capacitor on the fan side will need to be changed on the next visit right now. It’s on the borderline spec of being OEM rating.
Thank you for being part of the Total Air family

Came back and customer said it is still leaking. This time is another issue than previous time. There was a spot on copper insulation that looked like it was chewed from a rat and that part was concentrating and was dripping into the attic . Checked the drain pain and drain line and they were dry. Put another piece of insulation and taped it and insulated it good .
12 years old system
Low on freon
Condenser coil dirty
Bad capacitor
No float switch
Blower motor overheated
large air leak in the supply plenum
Upon arrival customer said that unit started blowing hot air and he shut down the system . Turned on the system and checked the pressures. Noticed that my gauges were reading high pressure in suction line. Found out that one of the wires that goes to reversing valve felt off and unit was operating in heat mode. Repaired the connection of the wires. And turned unit on and unit started operating on cooling. Also noticed that capacitor is reading low and need to be replaced. Customer agreed to continue only with wiring repair for today.
I decided to use Total Air for their 20+ years of local business. The services are detailed and complete. I have joined their yearly service program.
Remove and Dispose of the old equipment. Install new Coffin Box and Condensate Pump. Install New Amana High Efficiency Straight Cool system. New Hurricane Pad and Tie Downs. System comes with Ten Year Parts and One Year of Labor. Permit and Inspection by the County.
Change out Schrader valve and insured charge on system. System is set up in operating factory spec.
Performed maintenance on 13 year-old Bryant split system. Checked refrigerant pressures, temperature split, amp draws on compressor, fan and blower, tested capacitor, checked condition of coil and blower assembly, tested float switch flushed drain line. Found capacitor, highly corroded in reading low as well as the contactor, making a loud buzzing sound and very corroded. Replaced contactor and capacitor unit running and cooling at this time.
My technician, Michael, was vey efficient and friendly.
Replaced contactor and capacitor. Unit running and cooling at this time.
New thermostat, re-install UV system in new air handler, replace supply and return duct plenums and seal all connections with mastic to prevent future air leaks, replace safety pan and rods and brackets, install two new float switches one in pan and one in the secondary, flush and pressure test copper line set, repair if necessary, install new filter drier, attic has attic light already, install new heat pump outside with code approved anchors and brackets, new insulation on copper outside, reuse disconnect box outside, all permits and inspections are included and attention to detail is paramount. Need 10ft A frame ladder for air handler install.
Blower motor is bad
Since the system is not under warranty, the customer decided to have a quote for a new system. We have sent a Comfort Advisor for tomorrow. After that, the customer will make the decision to change the system or replace the blower motor.
7/16/25 NM
Arrived onsite and performed system diagnostic. Added refrigerant I did come across the system poor cooling. Ran a heat load calculation and found the unit is undersized by 1 ton. System was low on charge I did put some Freon in the unit. If there is a leak we are looking at a huge costly repair I did recommend a comfort advisor at this time. Homeowners rolling the dice on the unit situation.
Arrives to find outdoor unit able to run, but indoor unit not running. Have voltage between G & C. Unit has a bad blower motor. System is under warranty.
Almost empty on Freon, the customer rejected the leak search and said he only wanted a quote for a new Mitsubishi system.
Upon arrival, found float switch tripped, and condensate pump gunked up. Blew out line with nitrogen and cleared drain line running to condensate pump and cleaned condensate pump out and insured It was draining properly. Found filter extremely impacted as well as an impacted evaporator coil. Highly recommend pulling and cleaning the evaporator coil as a coil in this shape will damage all other major components in the system. System is from 2022 and is under a five-year warranty.
Inverter board was bad after lighting storm
Arrived to find everything powered and thermostat needing to be clicked through the settings. Showed customer how to reset thermostat unit up and running at this time. Customer is having no other issues with the system.
Professional service !
No! transparency. Of The secret agent or technician that came out my home he was not a personable individual however he did try sell me a motor for 2,0000 and a coil cleaning for 1,000.00. What was interesting while he talked on the phone with his organization in an attempt to get a replacement motor, I moved closer to him to hear what the office person was saying, he immediately walked to the street as if he was a secret agent on a mission, in an attempt to hide or mask what the other person was saying on the phone, which is a tail tail sign in any business of shady practices is a foot “no transparency”. it made me wonder what was being said to cause him to be so adamant of preventing me to hear the conversation. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Also just to come out was 89.99. Most other a/c repair shops charge 69.99-79.99.
The technician who service my AC unit. Today was very competent. He was quick and efficient and very personable. He gave an honest evaluation of my unit and recommended only repairs that were necessary.
Prompt, professional and courteous service. Highly recommend!
The technician were friendly and and courteous will recommend a company

Happy
Technician was polite and explained what he needed to do and completed the work in a timely fashion.
She was so efficient! Went the extra mile & identified two areas that may need replacement in the near future...which I will do. Very polite. Very knowledgeable.
I signed up for the annual maintenance plan and can't be happier. Jake came out and did the tune up on the unit and fixed a broken P-trap. Very professional, affordable, and timely. Would highly recommend.
The company was very quick to respond when I had problems and the technicians worked very hard to get everything up and running again. Special thanks to Warren, Marcus and Marvin who worked until late Friday to get things working.
