Tom arrived, very quickly diagnosed and resolved the problem. Tom is a 10 on a 1-5 scale. The challenge was the error message indicated that a temperature sensor had failed and reality was the outside unit was without power. The other opportunity was called yesterday at 10:45 AM, was supposed to receive a callback that did not happen, called 3 hours later and the best they could do was a 12 PM appointment today.

Unit is not cooling properly. Customer has replaced thermostat. Checked thermostat and located bad wires in wall. Located the blower motor is not working. Needs blower motor replacement. Rheem Model # RHLL-HM3617JA Serial # M230801897 Highly recommended unit replacement 3 ton.

Called out today to perform a precision tune up on two units. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating properly within manufacture specifications. Checked filter and cleared drain line/pan. Measured the temperature drop across the coils. Outside I removed the fan from the condensers and cleaned the coils from the inside out. Vacuumed drain lines clear from outside port. Equipment is operating properly at this time. Unit #2 is extremely hard to access due to the hanging brackets. There is one visit remaining on this year’s maintenance agreement. Performed a drain solve treatment to both units due to algae build up within the lines. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Called out today to perform a precision tune up. Checked all electronics and motor components on all four units to ensure equipment is operating within manufacture specifications. No filters were in place in returns throughout the house. Measured the temperature drop and rise across the coils. Found that the drain lines for the amanas were extremely clogged. Client mentioned that there were hot and cold spots throughout the home. Inspected ductwork and insulation to make sure there were no holes/deformations. There was some leakage at the connections from the air handler. Insulation levels are well below the U.S department of energy recommendations. I highly recommended investing in insulation to help reduce hot spots, energy loss and increase system performance. Pure air bulbs are at the end of their lifespan. Check duct work Homeowner concerned with a stain on ceiling. Stain is not below either air handler or condensate line. I checked all ductwork in the area. I could not find any wet insulation. There is a damaged duct that would need to be replaced bit it is not the cause of the stain. There is staining on the underside of the roof where a water leak was. I cannot confirm if it is actively leaking as everything is dry. The roof was replaced in the last few years. Home owner will have a roofer come look at it. Office to quote a duct replacement. 1 bag 10in indoor flex duct. 2 6 in collars. Mastic, tape. 1 hour labor. Current duct is not sealed with mastic. Home owner would like a quote on insulation. We will need to set an appointment for me to return on or after November 21st.

No cool. Outdoor unit not running on main floor system. Found bad capacitor and attempted to replace. After installing capacitor, found system tripping breaker due to a short to ground fault. Compressor is failed and would need to replaced for system to run. Due to condition of the system and high cost of repair, the homeowner would like a quote to replace. Home owner will be available after 12pm noon for a call to set an appointment. He would like the comfort advisor to come by after 5 pm if possible. Home owner signed up for maintenance program today. 2 systems. System is down until replaced or repaired.

Arrived at customer's house for no cool. On arrival customer showed me to air handler unit. Condensate pipe had come loose from unit. Gave customer price to repair and customers agreed. Installed new male PVC fitting fitting and new section of condensate line. Sucked out drain line. Unit now running. Giving acceptable delta T. Told customers I am not extremely confident in female futting on drain pan.. appears to have been cross threaded in past. Collected payment and signature for today's work and left. Customers happy.

Arrived at customer's house for system inspection. On arrival customer showed me to air handler unit and laundry room. Check inside of unit and saw UV light that was not working. Toggled the breaker and the light would turn on but not stay emitted. Got light information in case customer would like to search for bulb. Suggested he go with our pure air. Row estimate. Next month upstairs to York unit and checked out that air handler. That air handler had bio growth and 2 UV lights that were not working. Next went downstairs to condenser's. 1st checked the York unit and your unit was getting cool but not Keeping up well enough. Customer also had complaints about unit. Suggested he get consultation and customer agreed. Next I checked the Bryant unit and the Bryant unit was fine. Unit was keeping up. All pressures and readings were of acceptable range. System not cooling. I found the cause of this to be a bad blower fan motor in the evaporator. We will need to call in the morning to check warranty and order the motor for this unit. We will check pressures and system operation after repair has been made. All customer with price and timeframe of when we can get it.

Replaced defrost board in Rheem condenser unit. Changed out coil temp and ambient temp sensors provided with the board and recommended by manufacturer. Rewired common on the contactor back to the board (undo bypass). Home owner decided to change out weak capacitor while I was here today. Installed t200 capacitor with 5 year warranty. Cycled system to insure proper operation. Home owner paid for services today with a single check (#9797) for total balance. System operating properly at this time.

System not cooling. I found there to be two issues causing this. The first was that the contactor had failed so even when it got 24v it wouldn’t pull in. The second issue is that the control board has a short on the common I have unhooked common and bypassed that part of the board allowing the unit to run for now but we will need to change this board out. The model and serial number is worn off from the unit so we have no way to order it now the customer said he thinks he has it somewhere in his paperwork and will find it and send it to us. The capacitor is also weak and needs to be replaced. The air handler has growth formed in it mainly on the blower wheel it should be cleaned. I did recommend considering replacement, for now we have decided to move forward with repairs. We will need to provide an estimate to change the capacitor as well as the control board on the condenser.

Upon arrival customer told me that the inside was working but the condenser will not kick on. Went to the condenser and checked the capacitor and it is good and also the contactor. Had 24 volts going to the board but not leaving to go to the contactor. Bypass the board so he customer has ac. Will need to order a defrost board.

On arrival found system low on refrigerant. Found a large amount of oil in vapor li e armor flex at air Handler. Leak is very small and could not pinpoint which weld is leaking. Home owner opted to refill today and leak search and/or repair in the future. Home owner requested I return for leak search. Left system cooling but still has small leak in refrigerant cycle.

Upon arrival customer told me the ac was not working. The thermostat said outside sensor not reading. I had no power going to the condenser. Customer just had a generator installed on Thursday. The problem has something to do with the generator and the extra box they put on the disconnect.

Replace two (2) UV bulbs. Returned to customers home to remove old UV bulbs and replaced them with new ones. Turned the thermostat down and made sure both unit are running and and working.

Cycled and inspected equipment. Found home not cooling properly and growth around vents caused by duct work leaking. Also found air handler cabinet contaminated with bio growth and filter impacted. Cleaned air handler cabinet and installed a new pure air x. Scheduled free estimate for duct replacement on Thursday 3-5 p.m. left system cooling for now. Recommend: new duct work and filter.

Upon arrival checked motors, electrical components, and pressures on 1 split attic York system and 1 split closet Bryant system. Cleared drain lines and added Nubrite. Replaced 2 Turbo Capacitors and added 2 TAP memberships on new home. Entered equipment information. Customer needs filter ordered for attic system. 2-line 500AB. 19 3/4. X 24 1/4 x 4 7/8 Customer needs UV bulb ordered and replaced which we don't carry (see pics).. Left systems in good operating condition.
