Tony was our tech and seemed very proficient in diagnosing and fixing our issue. He was friendly, seemed knowledgeable about the issue, and explained what he was doing. We felt he was honest is his appraisal of the issue. We would be pleased to have him to have work on a or air conditioning system again. As to pricing, we wouldn’t know if it was reasonable or not, or what to expect. We have no way to compare. It wasn’t what we would call at all low, but it didn’t break the bank, don’t think it was excessive, and he fixed the issue and we were pleased about that. After all, that’s what we needed. We are happy with Total Air, their responsiveness and willingness to work around your schedule, be on time and communicate with you on their techs arrival time and who the tech is so you know who is coming so you know who to expect. Very easy company to work with. Nice people.

Performed maintenance 2. Checked all electrical components in system. All components within factory spec for volts and amp draw. Drain clear. Home owner stated that in middle of the day the system struggles to maintain 72 degrees. Pressures are normal. After completing check up, compressor failed to start on first attempt. After reset delay, the compressor began to run normally. Start up amps within acceptable range. Compressor may have built up heat from testing. Condenser unit has a good t200 cap and a headstart installed. Home owner will monitor and notify us if the unit has any further issues. Left system cooling properly at this time.
Found not cooling due to failed blower motor. Need to send customer pricing on blower motor replacement. Also I advised office will call to scheduled Corey to come and quote new system replacement.
System not cooling due to a burnt wire going to the capacitor. Fixed wire and unit was working. I noticed that the capacitor was getting low so I recommend a new capacitor while we were here and he agreed. Unit working properly at this time.
Upon arrival checked motors, electrical components, and pressures. Cleared drain line and added Nubrite to system. DeltaT at 22 degree split. Split rooftop condo system running good and both blower cap and CU cap within range. Pick up roof access keys at office. Recommended coil level 1 clean and customer wants to do next visit for CU. Emailed estimate to customer. Gave customer brochure on Pure Air and explained what it does. Left system in good operating condition.
client ionization device miswired. Tech correctly wired and tested. Ionizer operational at this time.
Technician inspected home found system having 20° delta, issue was not with air-conditioning system technician used a FLIR camera found the uninsulated flat roof was allowing or radiating anywhere from 85 to 101° of heat. The system is always combating this radiating heat causing that would seem to be in air-conditioning system issue but it is not. Nothing found at fault this unit is operational at this time.
Upon arrival found system cooling and satisfied at 74. Checked system out for proper operation and found no issues at this time. Customer is signing up for membership and we are using today as tune up visit #1.
Air handler inspection complete volts amps and microfarads are within range no indication of microbiological growth found. Gave instructions on drain line treatment cleared drain. Condenser inspection complete found system low on refrigerant and capacitor below range. Recommend adding refrigerant and replacing capacitor client agreed work is complete this unit is operational at this time tuneup complete.
Upon arrival checked motors, electrical components, and pressures. Cleared drain line and added Nubrite. DeltaT at 16 degree split and caution on possible slow leak. Pressures seem fine and no visible oil at CU. Indoor AU closet coil in good shape and no visible leaks Indoor blower cap replaced and motor still overamping but dropped considerably after mini turbo installed. Also changed outdoor CU capacitor due to high fan capacitance over limits. Customer will call office in fall after returning from Conneticut as he lives here half the year. Left system in good operating condition.

Completed system tune up. Checked pressures, volts, amps and all electrical components. Checked evaporator coil and drain line. Found dual run capacitor well below factory specs and also found 2 pole contactor very rusted and corroded. Replaced capacitor with turbo 200 which carries a 5 year warranty, replaced contactor and signed customer up for taps annual maintenance membership. Used todays tune up as 1 of 2. Left system in good working order.
Recommended Repairs: This includes the minimum required repair to get your system running today and recommended service items that I noticed also need attention. I am able to complete these tasks today at a discounted rate, shown below. Upon arrival found consensate pump and thermostat failed, so went ahaead and replaced both the thermostat and condensate up, went through start up procedure and both replaced items functioned properly, checked condenser pressures, amp draws, and electrical components, cleared drainline, took picture of evaporator coil and uploaded model and serial numbers for both units to ST, instructed owner how to use thermostat and what each light means for condensate pump. Left system in proper working order.
Cycled and inspected equipment. Found drain line restricted and system off on safety switch. Also found dual capacitor weak, hard start kit weak, contactor pitted, and supply plenum contaminated with bio growth. Cleared drain line, Installed a new dual capacitor, hard start kit, contactor, and pure air x whole house germicidal unit. Customer also approved maintenance agreement. Left system in good working order.
Drain line was restricted and tripped the float switch. We flushed and cleared the drain line, cycled and monitored the system for proper electrical, pressures and temperatures. We left the system in good running order.
The system is completely empty of refrigerant. The system is old (2003) and they’re selling the house. We talked about options of performing the leak check, if it’s repairable and recharge with R427A. I gave them a quote. I highly recommend replacing the system due to age, cost of repair and a new system w/ warranties will up the value of the house. Estimate is scheduled for tomorrow 11 - 1 time frame. They informed me they want the cheapest system possible.
New 1.5 ton installed front draw with 5kw heater , metal 90 at the condenser , job went great , customer satisfied, left the system running in perfect condition.
Upon arrival found float switch tripped. Cleared drain line and ran a cleaner through the pvc with the vacuum on the other end to create a vortex. Had a temperature differential of 19. Left system in good working order.
Upon arrival found dual run capacitor failed. Condenser fan motor had oil on it from the bearings being failed. Also the condenser coil is falling apart. Need to schedule Bill our supervisor to come out and give an estimate to replace the system. Bill will be coming out today with a 30 minute prior call. This being a bard condenser the parts will be hard to get on it and expensive because it is an r22 system. They system is 24 years old.
